Black Leopards head coach Dylan Kerr has expressed some degree of aggression and high self-assertiveness ahead of hosting Chippa United in the Absa Premiership today.
Speaking to Kick Off, the English-born coach was first asked about the absence of Mamelodi Sundowns’ loaned striker Thokozani Sekotlong.
"He is okay, but I mean Musonda is scoring goals, so TK [Sekotlong] and everybody that is in the squad will need to wait for the opportunity.
"They’ve got to take the opportunity, grab it with both hands and make sure as I said to them every day 'you wear that jersey, to keep that jersey the only thing you can do is keep playing well and winning games. If you performing you keep the jersey,’
"Everybody is desperate at this time of the season.
"Everybody is the same in the league, everybody is fighting for points.
Kerr further revealed the spirit and intensity he enjoys at the training grounds in Thohoyandou.
"Preparations are, as we do every day, preparations are good, training is good, players are good, spirits are high, you know everything has ticked the boxes.
"You know we haven't got time to build, we got to do things for the now.
The former Gor Mahia coach also talked about today’s game, a match Leopards need to win to drift away from the relegation zone.
"I'm not worried about Chippa, my worry is on Black Leopards when we get on the field to get three points.
"It's all about the mental toughness. It's not about what people are doing or what people want to do, it's all about what we do."
