Konadu removed as Ghana's Assistant Coach

15 Mar 2019, 09:30

Reports coming out of Ghana reveal that the Black Stars Assistant coach, Maxwell Konadu, has been removed from his position.

According to Ghana Soccer Net, Konadu was yesterday relieved of his duties by Normalisation Committee of the Ghana FA chairman, Dr. Kofi Amoah.

“He was given his marching orders on Thursday afternoon,” said the publication.

“The decision was taken by head coach Kwesi Appiah who is reshuffling his backroom staff ahead of their participation at the tournament to be held in Egypt in June.”

Meanwhile, the Black Stars take on Kenya to conclude the 2019 AFCON Qualifiers, with the match serving to determine the group winner after both nations sealed qualification in the preceding round of qualification games.
