KRC Genk and new Black Stars defender Joseph Aidoo has reflected on marking his first appearance for Ghana last week.

The 23-year-old’s dream day happened on Tuesday 23 March against Mauritania in a 3-1 at the Accra Sports Stadium.

"You don’t need to be told, I’m very excited to finally get my debut game for the Black Stars and to crown it a win makes it a bit special," he told Ghana Soccer Net.

"It is all players’ dream to represent the country and I feel very honored to get my first cap for the national team.

The former Inter Allies man concluded his reaction by attributing the results to his efforts at his Belgian club.

"This is an indication that hard work pays and I will continue to do my best at the club level so I can get more opportunities to represent my country,” concluded Aidoo.
