Frank Lampard charged by FA after weekend incident

Derby County manager Frank Lampard has been charged by the Football Association over improper conduct, following Friday's 2-2 draw against Birmingham City.

"It is alleged his language and/or behaviour on the field of play after [the game ended] amounts to improper conduct," an FA spokesperson said on Wednesday evening.

This is not the first time Lampard has faced such charges, having been reprimanded in September 2018 during the club's defeat to Rotherham.

His side, who sit sixth will face Bristol City on Saturday.

The former Chelsea star has until Monday to respond to the charges.
