Nkana edge Napsa in five goal thriller
Nkana came from a goal down twice to edge Napsa Stars in a five goal thriller to move into sixth place leapfrogging Power dynamos.
Nkana came into this match on the back of four draws and were looking to get their first win in five games while Napsa Stars on the other hand were eyeing fourth place.
Napsa Stars broke the deadlock after 11 minutes, Thomas Banda scoring from close range tapping in a Collins Sikombe cross. The lead did not last long however as Nkana levelled matters four minutes later, Richard Ocran scoring from the spot after a Napsa Stars defender was judged to have handled the ball in the box.
Napsa Stars took charge of the game again with Eric Yema making easy work of Laison Thole on the right wing. Austin Banda put Napsa back in the lead five minutes to half time with a close range finish after beneficial from a Yema cross.
Nkana came back from the break with intent and leveled matters 24 minutes into the second half thanks to a Yannick Mulenda close range shot. Duncan Otieno secured maximum points for the twelve Super League Champions seven minutes to time heading in Kelvin Mubanga Kampamba's well taken corner.
