Liverpool winger Sheyi Ojo is on the verge of completing a season-long loan move to Rangers FC.

According to reports, the 21-year-old travelled to Glasgow on Monday morning to finalise on the deal with the side managed by former Reds, Steven Gerrard.

Another Red, Ryan Kent, who enjoyed the 2018/19 campaign, where he scored six goals in 27 league matches, leading to a possible permanent deal with the side.

Oyo has spent the last two seasons away from the club, first playing at Fulham where he helped them secure promotion to the Premier League, before being sent to Stade Reims in France after extending his contract at Anfield.

Opportunities in the senior team have become limited, with coach Jurgen Klopp opting for more experienced players in his title-winning campaign at Anfield.

Once confirmed, Oyo will become Rangers' fifth summer signing, with the team already returning for pre-season training.

Oyo was signed as a promising 14-year-old in late-2011 and was touted as a star of the future. However, he has failed to have continuous progress as temporary moves have curtailed his development.
