News of Joash Onyango being ruled of Harambee Stars 2019 AFCON opener against Algeria has left the fans worried about their defence.

Onyango has been one of the consistent performers for the national team since Sebastien Migne took over and his absence will be a major blow with the team having already lost Brian Mandela to injury.

But with Musa Mohammed having trained with the team since their arrival in Egypt, he is expected to slot on central defence alongside Zesco United’s David Owino as Gor Mahia’s Philemon Otieno and Romania based Aboud Omar man the right and left full backs respectively.

Captain Victor Wanyama is assured of his place in the middle of the park and should be joined by Dennis Odhiambo of Sofapaka.

The headache comes in the attacking front for Migne who has to choose between Eric Ouma, Francis Kahata and Eric Johanna as to who will slot of the left wing. With Algeria expected to attack, Ouma might just be the man to start in Migne’s aid to find a player who could aid Omar in stopping Algeria’s Mahrez.

Michael Olunga should lead the goal onslaught.
