Harambee Stars might miss the services of defender Musa Mohammed when they take on Tanzania in their second group game in the 2019 African Cup of Nations.
Musa who was a doubt for Stars opening game against Algeria is said to have aggravated his injury in the game and will need to be accessed before they come up against Tanzania on Thursday.
Musa’s worry comes at a time when the team is still unsure if defender Joash Onyango will be fit to face the Emmanuel Amunike side after the defender picked an ankle injury before the Algeria game.
Should Musa fail to make it for the game, Migne will have no option but to field Zesco United defender David Owino who has found less game time since the Frenchman took over the reins of the team.
Owino would partner young defender Joseph Okumu who was a surprise inclusion in the Algeria game although the player gave a good account of himself with some good display despite the stage.
Without Owino, Migne can turn to Vihiga United’s Bernard Ochieng or force midfielder Ismael Gonzalez to play in defence.
Ochieng and Ovella have been snapped training with straps on their knees since Stars arrived in Egypt; a picture that has left fans asking if they were fit enough for games should they be required to feature.
