Jacob Banda headed to South Africa

Zesco United goalkeeper Jacob Banda has received an offer from South African side Free State Stars according to media reports.

Zambia Soccer Net reports that Banda (30) is interested in the offer that provides him the chance to play abroad after 14-years with the Ndola giants and will travel to South Africa on Monday where he will hold talks with Ela Lla Koto

Banda has been an influential figure for Zesco United in the just ended transitional league season and scored the winning penalty in the Super League play-off match on Saturday as they beat Kawale boys 3-1 following a nil-nil draw in regulation time.

Free State Stars will be campaigning in the second-tier National First Division(NFD) following their relegation from the elite ABSA Premiership last season.
