Former AFC Leopards midfielder appointed new Sharks assistant coach

Kenyan Premier League side Kariobangi Sharks have appointed former AFC Leopards midfielder Ezekiel Seda as their new assistant head coach.

The midfielder who retired from football last month comes in to replace the departed Collins Omondi who parted ways with the club last week.

Statement

In a statement, Sharks noted: “OFFICIAL: NEW ASSISTANT COACH

“The Club is pleased to announce Ezekiel Seda as the new senior team assistant coach. Seda shall deputize coach William in what is his first managerial role.

“We look forward to his contribution to the project at our club.”

Seda was forced to call it quits with the game after struggling with an injury since his days at Mathare United and the new appointment comes as a surprise to many going by his inexperience in the same position.

He will be leading players like Duke Abuya and Harrison Mwendwa who were his teammates during their stint at Mathare United.

Seda joined AFC Leopards in June 2018 from KPL rivals Mathare.
