Amadou Haidari scored the only goal in the first half which ensured Mali to go top of Group E with seven points.

Mali dominated much of the first half and took the lead 37th minute through Amadou Haidara. A quick build so Mali in possession with Moussa Doumbia looking for Haidara just outside the box. The midfielder produced stunning strike from around 25 yards, the keeper barely moved as it dipped in.
Mauritania vs Tunisia
In the other match, debutants Mauritania were knocked out of the tournament after settling for a goalless draw with Tunisia. The draw sees Tunisia advance to last 16 as they secured the second position with three points.
Mauritania were without a win after losing the opening match to Mali which was followed by a goalless draw with Angola. A win for the debutants could see Tunisia dumped out of the competition.
It was simply a do or die for Tunisia, who needed a victory tonight to guarantee a place in the round of sixteen. It's safe to say the Eagles of Carthage have not impressed in draws with Angola and Mali and need a result to confirm their passage to the knockout phase.
It was the third successive draw at the campaign as they finished second on three points, four shy of Mali who topped the group after beating Angola 1-0 in Ismailia.
