Absa Premiership side Black Leopards have strengthened their squad with a Guinea-Bissau goalkeeper.
The 29-year-old Jonas Asvendo Mendes arrives in the Absa Premiership at Black Leopards after playing part in the AFCON 2019 for Guinea-Bissau.
"Black Leopards FC welcome Jonas Asvendo Mendes. He comes with a lot of experience from Portugal and Guinea Bissau," read a club statement.
"The board and management trust that his arrival at Black Leopards will strengthen the defence of the team."
Mendes joins from Portuguese side Academico Viseu - and adds to Leopards’ other notable signings such as Thabo Matlaba and Mokgagolodi Ngele. There is of course a new coach at the club with the Frenchman Lionel Soccoia.
