With just one match remaining for each of them to prove who it will be, the trio of Odion Ighalo, Sadio Mane and Adams Ounas are in a race to finish as top scorer at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
Super Eagles' Ighalo top the chart with four goals, while Algeria's Ounas, Senegal's Mane and Cederic Bakambu of Democratic Republic of Congo have scored three goals each.
However, DRC are already out of the AFCON 2019, ruling out Bakambu from the race.
Nigeria face Tunisia in the third place match on Wednesday and Ighalo has a final opportunity to add to his tally and possibly finish the tournament as top scorer.
Mane and Ounas will trade tackle in the final on Friday for a chance to score goals and displace Ighalo.
The Liverpool forward has missed three penalties at the AFCON 2019.
