Daka on target in Salzburg big win

Zambian striker Patson Daka scored his first competitive goal of the season on Friday evening as Redbull Salzburg demolished lower-tier side Parndorf in a UNIQA ÖFB cup to win their first competitive match of the season.

Coach Jesse Marsch handed the former Power dynamos a starting berth lining him upfront alongside Norwegian teenage sensation Erling Haaland.

Haaland scored a hattrick while defender Patrick Farkas scored a brace with the young Zambian forward and Takumi Minamino contributed a goal each to complete a 7-1 humiliation of Parndorf. Lubomír Urgela scored a consolation goal for Pandorf.

Zambian midfield ace Enock Mwepu was an unused substitute. Salzburg awaits for their opponents for the second round but next on the fixture is a league match against Rapid Wien as they start their title defense.
