✌🏾👆🏾Chiefs & Sundowns set for Shell Helix Cup meeting

Shell have confirmed the second edition of the Shell Helix Ultra Cup between Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns.

Sundowns won the 2018/19 inaugural competition 2-1 at the FNB Stadium last season, courtesy of goals from Jeremy Brockie, Themba Zwane and Bernard Parker (Chiefs).

This season’s encounter is set for 12 October 2019 at Soccer City.

“The 2019 Shell Helix Ultra Cup is going to be a spectacular match day between Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns,” Stadium Management South Africa Tournament CEO, Jaco Beukes said in a statement today.

“SMSA Tournament and Shell Downstream South Africa can assure fans of an incredible match day experience. Both teams are ready, and we will once again head to FNB Stadium to see who lifts the cup on 12 October 2019.”

Meanwhile, Chiefs are focused on taking on Black Leopards on Saturday night in a league game, while Sundowns will travel to Congo to face d’Oyo in a CAF Champions League preliminary round qualifier.
