Nigerian winger Onyekuru joins Monaco from Everton

Nigerian winger Henry Onyekuru has joined Ligue 1 club Monaco on a five-year deal from English Premier League club Everton.

The 22-year-old made the permanent move to Monaco on a deal that will keep him at the Stade Louis II until summer 2024.

He joined the French club for a fee believed to be worth €15m.

Onyekuru joined Everton in 2017 but did not kick a ball in a competitive game.

He went on loan to Anderlecht between 2017-2018 and Galatasaray between 2018-2019 where he scored 14 goals in 31 appearances.

He has been capped by Nigeria 11 times in the past two years, featuring in the Super Eagles' 2019 Africa Cup of Nations campaign where Nigeria finished third.
