Chelsea have been hit with fresh injury concerns ahead of their Premier League match against Norwich, with news that N'Golo Kante might miss the clash.
Coach Frank Lampard revealed during his pre-match conference that the France international has carried the injury all week, and is a major doubt for the match.
"N’Golo Kante has got an injury he has carried all week," said Lampard. "We are going to assess that over the next 24 hours to see if he’s fit. It’s an ankle sprain,"
Kante has carried a niggling injury for a few months now and was sent back to England during a preseason tour early this month as he recovered.
He returned to the starting lineup against Liverpool in teh Uefa Super Cup final and was in the team that drew 1-1 against Leicester in the English Premier League last weekend.
His absence might be a concern for Lampard, who is in the hunt for a first win of the season, having suffered two defeats and a draw.
The Englishman further revealed that there was a concern with Spaniard Pedro Rodriguez, who took minor knocks and missed training in the opening days of the week.
The Blues will face the Canaries at the Carrow Road, knowing that only a win will give them a boost in morale.
