Joseph Okumu unveiled at Swedish side IF Elfsborg

Harambee Stars defender Joseph Okumu has officially been unveiled at Swedish top-tier side IF Elfsborg.

The defender has been at Real Monarchs of the USA and was one of Stars' impressive youngsters at the Africa Cup of Nations. 

The lanky defender was unveiled in a short video posted on the club's Twitter account with the caption 'From Kenya, with love'. #WelcomeOkumu

 

Okumu has played for Chemelil Sugar in the past and moved to South Africa's Free State Stars before moving to the USA in 2018 with Real Monarchs, the reserve team for MLS side Real Salt Lake.

The defender's new club currently sits on position eight on the Allsvenskan standings with 27 points and hosts Sirius in their next league clash on Saturday 31 August.
