Harambee Starlets are through to the second round of Olympics Qualifiers after beating Malawi 3-0 in a match staged at the Kenyatta Stadium-Machakos on Sunday 1 September.
Starlets came into the game after going down 3-2 in the first leg played in Blantyre early in the week and they needed to win in whatever way if they were to make it to the second round.
The nerves were eased when Cynthia Shilwatso put the home side into the lead in the 19th minute; a goal that separated the two teams heading into the break.
Thika Queens Mwanahalima Adam who was a thorn for the Malawians in the first leg was to hit a second-half brace for the Starlets as they booked their place in the next round.
Next for Starlets in the second round is either Ghana or Gabon who meets in another first-round clash.
The games are being used as the Qualifiers for the 2020 Olympics slated to take place in the coming year in Tokyo.
