Spain continued their march towards Euro 2020 Championship with a 3-0 win over Romania away, keeping their 100 percent record intact.
The Spaniards went into the match atop Group F standings on 12 points and grabbed all the points to bring their tally to 15 after five matches.
Captain Sergio Ramos put the visitors ahead on the 29th minute from the spot, following Ciprian Ioan Deac's challenge inside the box.
They then extended their lead two minutes into the second half, this time Jordi Alba feeding Paco Alcacer to tap into an empty net for a 2-0 lead.
The Romanians, however, put up a spirited fight and halved the deficit when George Puscas found Florin Andone with a headed pass and the latter glanced a header past Kepa Arrizabalaga to make it 1:2.
The Spaniards were then reduced to 10 men with 11 minutes to go when Llorent was shown red for tripping an opponent.
They, however, held on to win and maintain their perfect record.
Armenia vs Italy
In another match, Italy rode their lack as they beat 10-man Armenia 3-1 away in a Group J clash, steadily maintaining their march towards the championships.
The scoreline, however, didn't give a clear summary of the match, with the Azzuri struggling for long spells in the match as the hosts marched them despite being reduced to 10 men in the second half.
A brace from Andrea Belotti and a solitary striker from substitute Lorenzo Pellegrini were enough to take the match beyond the hosts, as the visitors left Yerevan with maximum points.
They now lead the standings on 15 points, three ahead of Finland, who beat Greece 1-0.
