Following a clause in his contract that revealed Lionel Messi could leave Barcelona at the end of this season, the club's vice-president Jordi Cardoner admitted that the Argentine is free to leave whenever he wishes.
According to Barcelona Radio host Xavia Campos, Beckham has reached out to Messi about making a move to the States to join his new Inter Miami MLS franchise. Barcelona confirmed Messi has a clause in his current contract which would allow him to leave the club for free at the end of this season.
In an interview with Marca, Cardoner revealed that Messi could leave the club if he wants to, "He can enter and leave the club when he sees fit. We are calm and there is a lot of positivity, especially in the dressing room. Leo will do what he thinks is fit, but Leo's contract is very special because he is who he is.
"It's a concession made to him and other players who deserve it. I'd love for him to stay for as long as he wants to play for our team."
