Following his howler against Watford that resulted in a goal, Arsenal defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos has revealed that it was his sole fault that they dropped two points.
The Gunners were 2-0 up at half time but Sokratis' pass to Matteo Guendouzi in the 53rd minute was intercepted by Will Hughes with Tom Cleverly finishing from close range. David Luiz conceded a penalty that Roberto Pereyra converted to earn Watford a point in the thrilling encounter.
Sokratis revealed that he was to blame for the dropped points against the Hornets, "I think that I cost the game for the team. It was my mistake for something simple that I don't have to do. I think this was the problem why we lost the three points. I apologized because today I cost the game for the team and I have to work harder.
"I know up to this moment I didn't have a mistake, I didn't do nothing [wrong]. Everything was near to perfect. But defense is [about] no risk and today it was my mistake. I don't want to speak about others. Today it was my mistake and this cost the game. Nothing else. The other guys tried their best. I don't have to do this mistake."
