Chelsea winger Willian is backing Tammy Abraham to fill the void left by Eden Hazard, who dumped the London-based side for Real Madrid in the summer.
The young Englishman has been in scintillating form this season, finding the net seven times from the opening fives matches.
According to the Brazilian, his goals have reduced the pain of losing the Belgian, but admitted it was a big blow to see him leave.
"I think Hazard's exit was a big loss," Willian said as quoted by Goal. "Eden is a player that can make the difference, but I think we have players that can continue to make the difference as well,"
"Abraham is playing well at the moment. He is scoring lots of goals and I am very happy for him,"
"The young players are doing well. They can improve a lot. I think Chelsea is Chelsea. No matter the players we have, we have to fight until the end in every competition. That’s what we want to do this season,"
Willian is finding his feet in the side as well, having returned to to the starting lineup in recent matches after recovering from a minor injury and lack of match fitness.
They next host Liverpool at the Stamford Bridge on Sunday, hoping to put their 1-0 loss to Valencia in the Champions League tie behind them.
The Reds are currently top of the Premier League table having won all their opening five matches.
