Following their emphatic 4-0 win over Standard Liege, Unai Emery has dropped a bombshell claiming that Mesut Ozil does not deserve to be in the Arsenal squad.
Brazilian teenage sensation, Gabriel Martinelli scored a quickfire brace before Joe Willock made it three in the 22nd minute while Dani Ceballos bagged his first goal in an Arsenal shirt early on in the second half. Ozil failed to make the matchday squad against Liege and was again snubbed in the 1-1 draw against Manchester United.
Speaking after the win over Liege, Emery justified his decision to leave Ozil out of the squad, "I am thinking every time the best players for the match, the best players in the squad to play and help us. When I decided he isn't in the squad it's because I think other players deserve it more.
"He needs to continue working. Tomorrow we have training with the players who didn't play, and on Sunday we have another match, and we are going to decide the same. Our target is to win on Sunday against Bournemouth, and we want to carry on our same way in each match."
