SuperSport United are now three-time MTN8 champions after defeating Highlands Park at the Orlando Stadium this evening.
Matsatsantsa a Pitori won the game through a Bradley Grobler header on the stroke of half-time.
Coach Tembo won his first major silverware of his career after having fallen to Cape Town City in last season’s MTN 8 final.

Highlands started as the better and dominant side of the game but never done enough to break open United’s defence. Ronwen Williams was the first to make a save. Williams parried away a powerful Mthobi Mvala effort as early as the fourth minute.
Teboho Mokoena beat his marker ahead swinging in a peachy cross to Bradley Grobler’s head: 1-0! SuperSport hung on until the death to win their third Wafa Wafa title.
