Two Chelsea stars withdraw from England squad

Chelsea duo of Reece James and Trevoh Chalobah have withdrawn from the England U21 squad for two forthcoming international matches due to fitness concerns.

James, who made a successful recovery recently, suffered a minor injury and withdrew from the group that travelled to Slovenia for a friendly match.

Chalobah, who is on loan to Championship side Huddersfield, on the other hand, withdrew from the side as a precaution.

The team will, however, be represented by Callum Hudson-Odoi, who just like James is coming off a long injury that has kept him out of action for months.

The other is Chelsea development squad captain Marc Guehi who received his first England U21 call-up during the opening international weekend of the season and appeared twice for the young Lions.

The England U-21 team has won their opening two matches of the Euro 2021 qualifiers and will meet Austria in their next match.
