Cavani, Silva to leave PSG at the end of the season

French League One giants Paris Saint Germain is set to lose the services of striker Edison Cavani and defender Thiago Silva at the end of the season.

Reports from ESPN suggests that the duo’s time at PSG are set to expire as they enter the final year of their contracts with the Ligue 1 powerhouse.

Silva, 35, has played for PSG since 2012, making 292 appearances for the club but his future is said to be in limbo with no solid offers coming from the Parc des Princes; the defender said to be keen with a return to his native Brazil.

On the other side of the coin, Cavani has been linked to a few clubs including Manchester United and ​Atletico Madrid both who have been credited with an interest in his services in recent years; the Uruguayan keen for a new challenge after being dominant in the French League.

The 32-year-old Uruguayan has been heavily linked to David Beckham’s Inter Miami side set to debut in Major League Soccer in 2020.

According to reports, Beckham is keen to sign Cavani as their marque Designated Player ahead of their debut season.
