Joe Aribo's 35th-minute goal made the difference so far.
Neymar limped off the pitch after just 12 minutes of action in the international friendly against Nigeria going on at the Singapore National Stadium.
Neymar's injury appeared to be a hamstring, but a doctor's check will determine the real issue.
He was consequently substituted with Philippe Coutinho.
Brazil were the better side so far in the first half and from the blast of the whistle, they dominated the game.
A great chance came for Brazil in the 27th minute when Casemiro's pass met Gabriel Jesus, but the Manchester City player's header was saved by Francis Uzoho.
Three minutes later, a one-two play by Brazil was stopped by Uzoho as the ref sounded his whistle for water break.
But Nigeria took the lead after 35 minutes when Moses Simon penetrated Brazil's defence and found Joe Aribo who made his way past defenders and shot in.
Brazil kept the pressure but Nigeria held on to maintain their 1-0 lead into the break.
