After a nasty collision in the 1-1 draw against Croatia, Manchester United and Wales winger Daniel James has allayed fears of his injury by insisting he is fine.
James appeared to be knocked out when Domagoj Vida attacked a high ball and struck him on the head. The incident left James sprawled out on the floor and members of medical staff quickly ran on the pitch to attend to the United man. Luckily the 21-year-old got up and carried on playing for the rest of the game.
In an interview with Sky Sports after the game, James provided an injury update, "[I'm] fine. He caught me in the head. I didn't get knocked out. We knew it was going to be tough. It was a quick turnaround. We started well, although we conceded.
"To get the goal back showed character. There were a few tackles flying in but you expect that in these games. We've shown what a great team we are. It was about bouncing back."
With the draw, Wales qualification is still possible in the next round of games in November and James was pleased with his side's performance in Cardiff.
