Kaizer Chiefs’ Zimbabwean superstar Khama Billiat firmly has Lazarous Kambole’s back.
As reported here on Futaa, Zambia’s Kambole is currently under pressure and without confidence after seven games without a goal.
While Kambole was with the Chipolopolo on duty and missed last Saturday’s 4-2 win over rivals Mamelodi Sundowns, Billiat was made to comment about the striker’s struggle in Soweto.
"We all struggle when we come here, it is expected," Billiat said via Sport24.
"But we are working hard to try and help him (Kambole). He is a good player, that is why he is here. We believe in him and we are going to support him as much as we can.”
The Zimbabwean star concluded the chat by assuring that Kambole not only gets continued opportunities, the former Zesco striker is actually near breaking ‘the ice.’
"Every opportunity he gets I think he is close to breaking the ice and we have a good feeling about it,” Billiat added.
Kambole’s next chance may come in six days. Chiefs will this weekend visit Cape Town City for a Telkom Knockout clash on Saturday at 15:30.
