Everton manager Marco Silva expressed his delight in Theo Walcott and Tom Davies' impressive performances at the weekend as they beat West Ham United 2-0 at Goodison Park.
Both Walcott and Davies were handed starting lineup spots which apparently has taken a while for the duo to get to this point.
The former Arsenal forward was reportedly a threat to the opposition throughout the game despite not managing to find the back of the net with his shot from long range.
Davies, on the other hand, was said to have brought something different and refreshing to Everton's midfield - he was consistent in his energy and pace.
"I like Theo as a lad. I like Tom as a lad,” Silva told Liverpool Echo.
"Tom is something special for me because he loves the club, he is a lad from our club and he is special, it doesn't matter if he's played ten or thirty games for me.
"Theo is an example as a professional. The way they played really impressed me.
Walcott has dealt with immense scrutiny from Everton's fans but after the game on Saturday, his confidence will increase going forward and hopefully the supporters will get behind him.
