๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ Richard Keogh to fight Derby County for sacking him after drink-driving incident

Republic of Ireland international Richard Keogh is set to meet with the PFA on Tuesday as he prepares to reportedly build a case against Derby County for firing him, according to Sky Sports.

Keogh who was allegedly sacked for what is believed to be gross misconduct was told a week ago that his contract would be terminated effectively unless he accepted the pay cut that Derby were offering.

The 33-year-old was reportedly at the back of the car that was driven by fellow teammate that eventually crashed into a lamppost - Lawrence and Mason Bennett were charged with drink-driving/

According to further reports, it took more than half an hour for Keogh to be removed from the car as he had sustained injuries to his knee,

Keogh may have to undergo surgery which might see him out action until December 2020 - he has already had an operation prior to this.

Bennett and Lawrence were handed 180 hours of unpaid work, 12-month community services as well as disqualification from driving for approximately two years after they pleaded guilty.

Keogh has made more than 350 appearances for Derby County and is reportedly left with 18 months on his contract if it is not renewed.
