Best trios in the Premier League so far this season

Twelve matches into the 2019/20 Premier League season and the big boys are already pulling away at the top with some surprises, both from teams and players, here and there.

Liverpool have been the most consistent and seem like the team to beat, with Manchester City struggling to replicate the form that clinched them the title last season.

Leicester City is the surprise package at this stage of the competition, with Frank Lampard's Chelsea also surprising many with their form.

Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham have struggled for consistency, and find themselves off the top-four after the opening weeks.

Some players have also stood out in the opening three months, and new stars have been born in that period.

Others have formed lethal partnerships to guide their teams to the very top;

Rashford, Martial and James

Manchester United's front three showed what they could do from the first match when they swept Chelsea aside in a 4-0 win, with the three on the scoresheet.

Their partnership was however short-lived as Martial went out for a couple of weeks injured and only returned recently.

In his absence, the goals seemed to dry for Rashford, but the trio seems to be coming back to their very best in recent matches, combing well for a number of goals, and they are one of the most lethal trios in England; and with their age, they can only get better.

Total goals - 12

Mane, Salah and Firmino

Liverpool relied on their front three of Mane, Salah, and Firmino to lift the Champions League last season and push Manchester City to the very end.

They have picked from where they left off last season, and are once again leading the lines for The Reds in what looks like a very promising season.

They haven't been on the scoresheet on a single match together, but they have once again shown they are one of the best trios in the Premier League and by extension Europe.

Total goals - 16

Vardy, Madison, Tielemans

Leicester City seems like the side that won the League a few seasons ago. They have found their mojo once again under Brendan Rodgers, and they are one of the most entertaining teams in the Premier League.

Their form is partially down to the key stars in Vardy, Madison, and Tielmans, who have been phenomenal.

Vardy has hit the form that saw him lead the scorers' charts in their title-winning campaign, and in Madison, they have a creative mind that has been pushing them to the final third.

Tielmans, alongside Ndidi have been phenomenal and they look like genuine title contenders, just like they did under Claudio Ranieri

Goals - 15

Abraham, Pulisic, Willian

Chelsea's young side is shining in the Premier League, with Tammy Abraham leading the lines impressively for Frank Lampard's side.

On his side is Willian who seems to have taken the role of leading the young forward, and has become a key figure in the side after initial struggles that were as a result of injuries during the preseason.

New signing Christian Pulisic has got off the mark and seems the real deal for the Blues. He started off with a perfect hat-trick against Burnley and followed it up with strikes against Watford and Crystal Palace.

Total goals - 17
