Following reports that John Terry blocked the signing of Sergio Aguero at Chelsea before his move to Manchester City, the former Blues skipper has moved to deny the claims.
After meeting in the Champions League in the 2009-2010 season, skipper Terry was not convinced by the Argentine and advised the Chelsea board against the transfer.
The current Aston Villa assistant manager took to Instagram to deny the rumors, "Where do these get the stories from? If they bothered calling players agents it would solve an awful lot of nonsense!"
Terry is said to have favored a move for David Villa instead the Spaniard chose to join Barcelona the following season.
Ironically, Aguero had scored twice against a Terry-led Chelsea defense with Atletico before moving to City and has been prolific against the west Londoners ever since, scoring 15 times against the Blues in 18 appearances.
