Everton have sacked manager Marco Silva after only 18 months in charge, following a series of poor results in recent weeks.
Silva suffered a humiliating 5-2 defeat at the hands of league leaders Liverpool on Wednesday night, their ninth loss of the campaign which left the Toffees in the relegation zone.
The club, in a statement, thanked Silva for the work he did at the club, further revealing that Duncan Furguson has taken charge of the club.

Silva, who took charge in May 2018, won 24 and lost 24 of his 60 games.
Former boss David Moyes has already been mentioned as a favorite to take over on a permanent basis.
