Zambia U20 national team head coach Osward Mutapa says he will take it one game at a time at the ongoing COSAFA U20 tournament.
The young Copper Bullets thrashed Botswana 5-0 in their opening match on Wednesday but Mutapa feels the team could have even done better as they missed a lot of chances.
"Yes I am satisfied with maximum points but I feel we could have done better especially in the first half we had a lot of chances which we should have converted because football is about goals but we happy that we have come out victors," he said.
"It's always important to start a tournament with a win it gives the boys confidence going into the next game. We won't jump into the semis but we will focus on the next game," he added.
His counterpart Paul Keitumetse admitted defeat saying his young team lost to a better side.
" We brought a young team that we building to qualify for the 2024 Olympics. We lost to a better team so we can't be so hard on the boys, " he said.
Jimmy Mukeya scored a brace while Francisco Mwepu, Crawford Mwaba, and Ricky Banda scored a goal each to give Zambia an emphatic 5-0 win. Next for Zambia is a match against the Comoros Islands while Botswana battle Malawi.
