Zambia U20 national will be looking to finish their group stage games at the boi COSAFA U-20 Championships with a win when they face off with Malawi this afternoon at Nkoloma Stadium.
Zambia leads group A with six points thanks to their two wins in the first two games. The junior Copper Bullets thrashed Botswana 5-0 before laboring to a 2-0 win over the Comoros Islands.
Their opponent's, Malawi are second in the group with four points. The junior Flames hammered Comoros Islands 4-0 before playing out to a 2-2 draw with Botswana.
Head coach Osward Mutapa is taking this match very serious and says he will not make a lot of changes but just one or two.
"We would have loved to change and give others to play but we don't know the other groups. We will take that game seriously but we will make one or two changes," he said.
Zambia needs at least a draw to secure progression to the semifinals while Malawi needs an outright win.
Nchanga Rangers winger Eliot Kampukesa has been brilliant both times he has come from the bench and may be given a starting berth today.
Prince Mumba and Jimmy Mukeya are still nursing injuries and need to pass a late fitness test to make it to the matchday squad.
The other game in the group will see Botswana and Comoros Islands battle it out at Sunset Stadium with little or nothing to play for.
