Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp had a touchline spat with Monterrey head coach Antonio Mohamed that resulted in the German getting booked.
Gomez was already on a booking after a last-man foul earlier in the match with Mohamed keen to urge the referee to send off the defender.
The England defender was spared from a sending off but Klopp was shown a yellow card for advancing towards the Mohamed as if he was ready to offer him a fight before sarcastically mimicking the Argentine.
