Senegal's national team the Teranga Lions have kept their top spot as Africa's number one footballing nation following the latest rankings from the world governing body, FIFA.
Aliou Cisse's side have maintained the rankings following a hugely successful year, where they finished second runners up in the Africa Cup of Nations tournament in June.
They are ranked 20th worldwide, with Tunisia, who are the second on the continent ranked 27th in the world.
The continent's champions Algeria, who lifted the title in June, are among the most improved teams in the latest, moving up 32 places, while Japan scaled 22 places.
Their success saw them move up to fourth on the continent and to 35th spot worldwide, with Qatar the only one ahead of them in the 'most improved' category.
Nigeria (31), African champions Algeria (35) and Morocco (43) make up the top six nations on the continent.
