Solskjaer rules Ashley Young out of Wolves clash

The transfer tussle between Ashley Young and Manchester United will see the utility player miss out of their clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

United is set to come up against Wolves in a third-round replay of the FA Cup on Wednesday with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer giving early team news on Tuesday ahead of the tie.

Young is said to have refused to sign a new deal with United with the player said to be forcing a move to Serie A giants Inter Milan through his agent something that has seemingly angered the club’s hierarchy.

Apart from Young, the game might be too early for defender Luke Shaw who pulled up a tight hamstring in the warm-up at their weekend win against Norwich City.

Bailly and Mensah Injuries

Defender Eric Bailly and Timo Fosu Mensah are other players who won’t feature in the game despite making their comebacks in the club’s Under-23s' victory against Newcastle United on Friday with Solskjaer confirming that the duo will continue their rehabilitation in a behind-closed-doors friendly with Sheffield Wednesday's youngsters later today (Tuesday).

Jesse Lingard's involvement is also uncertain after he missed the Norwich game through illness with the fitness of Marcus Rashford not discussed in the presser.
