Swedish top-flight side AIK will be preparing for the new season with a preseason camp in Marbella-Spain with Harambee Stars defender Eric Ouma asserting that he was ready to represent his new team.
Ouma signed for the Swedish giants late last year from IF Vasalunds and speaking to Futaa as the team reported back to training on their Solna backyard last week, the former Gor Mahia player said he couldn’t wait to get started.
“We will be camping in Spain in February before the season starts but we have resumed training. Expectations here are a notch higher and this is what every player want. It means that I have to put it more efforts each day.
“I am ready for the journey with AIK and I'm giving my best here. The welcome has been great and it’s been easy adapting with my new teammates. I just can’t wait to get started,” Ouma said.
AIK leaves Sweden for Spain on February 7th but before that, they will have to participate in the Swedish Cup competition where they are slated to come up against Karlstad, Vestaras and GIF Sundsvall starting Saturday 18 January.
Back in the league, AIK will open their campaign with a tie against Sodra Sunday 23rd February.
