Manchester United fans are holding their breaths ahead of Sunday evening's Premier League clash against league leaders Liverpool, with the availability of their talisman striker Marcus Rashford still unclear.
The Englishman was missing from the squad that will travel to Merseyside for the match, with unconfirmed reports indicating he might be on the sidelines for a while.
The 22-year-old suffered a back injury in midweek during an FA Cup tie against Wolves, minutes after coming on as a substitute.
Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer later admitted that the decision to throw him in backfired on his face, as he now faces the reality of taking on Jurgen Klopp's men without his top striker.
"I can't tell you now," Solskjaer said on his availability in his pre-match conference ahead of the tie.
"As I said with Harry [Maguire] a few weeks ago, of course, we're going to give him the absolute amount of time to find out. We'll do some more checks and treatment with him today, yesterday, of course, was just a recovery day and some treatment for him. I've not see him this morning.
"I'm not going to hold my breath. I would probably think he wouldn't be ready but let's see. it's 48 hours [away], more than that, so let's see."
Rashford has been United's best player this season, netting 19 goals in all competitions for the Reds so far.
He netted in the reverse fixture at Old Trafford in a 1-1 draw, and his absence will be a huge blow for the sie.
