Manchester United's predicted lineup against Liverpool

Manchester United will face league leaders Liverpool on Sunday evening at Anfield, hoping to do what no other team has managed this season; beat the Reds.

Ole Gunnar's men came close to doing this in the reverse fixture, but a late Lallana goal ensured the teams shared the spoils as the match ended 1-1.

The Norwegian is yet to confirm whether or not talisman striker Marcus Rashford will be available for the tie, following his injury in midweek during an FA Cup tie against Wolves.

Rashford was reportedly missing from the team that prepared to travel to Liverpool, further casting doubt over his fitness.

Solskjaer will, however, be buoyed by the return of a number of defenders, with Eric Bailly and Axel Tuanzebe ready for action.

Luke Shaw and Rojo Marcos Rojo are still some way off and will miss the clash at Anfield, same as Scott McTominay and Paul Pogba, who are out for a number of weeks.

The rest of the squad is available for selection, which should give Solsjaer a welcoming headache.

De Gea should start in goal, with Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, and Williams manning the backline.

In the middle of the park, Fred and Matic are expected to start once again there being no other proved options for such a match, with Juan Mata and James on the wings supporting Martial, who will lead the lines.

Man United's predicted starting lineup: De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Williams; Fred, Matic; James, Perreira, Mata; Martial
