Andries Ulderink set to leave Ajax Cape Town at the end of the season

Ajax Cape Town head coach Andries Ulderink revealed to the media that he is set to leave the club after the conclusion of the 2019/20 season, Sport24 reported.

Ulderink reportedly broke the news to the club that he will see the end of his contract and he will be going back to Europe but his current focus is to make sure Ajax make their way back to Absa Premiership.

The Urban Warriors CEO, Ari Efstathiou confirmed the coach's statements and added that the club is in support of his decision and wish the best for his future endeavours.

"Andries Ulderink will write his name in Ajax Cape Town's history should he lead the team in winning the GladAfrica Championship", Efstathiou said.

"In addition, he will be the only Dutch coach to ever lift any silverware at Ajax Cape Town.

"He sacrificed 18 months of his career to assist Ajax Cape Town to fight their way out the NFD.

"Being away from his family, and campaigning in a notoriously difficult league has been no easy task. He is a true professional and we have no doubt in his commitment to finishing the season as Champions."
