KCCA FC on Tuesday cut down Vipers SC Uganda Premier League lead to two points with a 2-0 win away at Kyetume.
Sadat Anaku and former Gor Mahia striker Erisa Ssekisambu were on target as KCCA registered a routine win and pile pressure on beleaguered Vipers. They now have 41 points while Kyetume remained stagnant at 13th place with points.
Elsewhere, basement side Proline FC stunned Police FC 2-1 to climb from the bottom of the table in nearly two months. Defender Mustafa Mujuzi scored a double in the first half while Derrick Kakooza scored the consolation for Police in the second stanza.
Proline have now 15 points two ahead of bottom side Tooro United. Police FC loss meant they remain 11th with 21 points.
In Mbarara, Mbarara City dealt Vipers title charge a blow when they played to a goalless draw at Bombo Barracks. Mbarara have now 23 points while Vipers have 43 points.
URA FC fine run of four wins on the trot was finally halted by a dogged Tooro United who ground out a 1-1 draw in Fort Portal. Michael Birungi scored the opener for the visitors before the hosts drew level in 63rd minute through Charles Musiige.
The final match of the day was Onduparaka continue with their fine home form beating Busoga United 2-1 at the Green Light Stadium in Arua.
