Busoga United on Saturday completed a double over struggling BUL FC with a 2-1 win in a Uganda Premier League match played in Jinja.
The hosts fell to a BUL FC goal in the 15th minute when Musa Walangalira rifled ina shot past Rogers Omedwa. David Bagoole restored parity with a long-range thunderous strike. In-form striker Lawrence Tezikya made sure all the three points remained in Jinja with a 44th-minute winner.
The win sees Busoga climb to sixth on the log with 30 points after 20 rounds while BUL drop to seventh with the same points but inferior goal difference.
In other UPL matches played on Sunday, a Yusuf Wasswa 78th minute goal was all leaders Vipers needed to beat visiting Onduparaka at St. Mary's grounds. This was Vipers' 14th win of the season. They now have 46 points, five ahead of KCCA FC.
Elsewhere, Wakiso Giants were held to a one-all draw by visiting Bright Stars. Gadafi Wahab scored on his debut for Wakiso in the 55th minute to cancel out James Agu's 44th-minute opener.
In other matches, Mbarara City beat Express 1-0 while Kyetume beat bottom side Proline with the same score.
