An experienced KCCA side on Tuesday silenced sturdy Maroons 2-1 in a Uganda Premier League match played at Lugogo Stadium in Kampala.
The win see KCCA FC cut Vipers SCleadat the top to two points but they have played a game more than their league rivals.
Former Gor Mahia front man Erisa Ssekisambu and old horse Mike Mutyaba were on the target as Peter Magambo's own goal gave the visitors the consolation goal.
Mike Mutyaba opened the scoring in the21st minute after being set up by Ssekisambu. The assist provider turned the finisher when he raced onto a Kezironi Kizito to coolly slot past advancing Hannington Ssebulwanyo.
This was Maroons 9th loss of the campaign which keeps them 10th with 24 points fetched.
Elsewhere, the league continues on Wednesday when sixth Busoga United visit fast-improving Bright Stars at Kavumba Recreational Stadium as Tooro United will play host to Wakiso Giants at the St Paul Seminary Playground, Fort Portal.
