Former Ivory Coast international Gervinho marked his return from club suspension with a goal in Parma's 1-0 win over Sassuolo.
The former Arsenal star had been excommunicated from the Italian club after he tried to force a winter transfer to Saudi Arabian side Al-Sadd. He tried to engineer his exit by missing training and matches as he fought to join the money-spinning Arabian league.
The Ivorian would later apologise to the club hierarchy and fans for his behaviour and was welcomed back to the fold.
He repaid the club's faith in him with a 25th-minute winner that see Parmamove to seventh with 35 points.
This performance will surely erase any bad feeling the club harboured towards the Ivorian.
