Brazilian midfielder Fred has lifted the lid on his relationship with Manchester United teammate Paul Pogba.
According to Fred, Pogba is a great person who can still help Manchester United with his ability and personality this season; the Frenchman believed to be working hard to return from injury after undergoing surgery at the beginning of January.
"He's a great person and a great player. On a daily basis we (are) together a lot. He's a good guy and we try to bring him closer to United.
"Unfortunately, he was injured a lot this season, but he can still help a lot. Needless to say, he is a great player. May he recover quickly, because he is world champion and being 100 per cent will help us a lot," Fred told Brazilian outlet UOL Esporte.
Pogba has missed a chunk of the season having been sidelined with separate ankle injuries with the setbacks restricting him to eight appearances in all competitions and just five league starts this season.
The World Cup winner has been a subject of a summer transfer with reports rife that he doesn’t want to feature for United anymore
United have missed the services of the Frenchman though his absence has allowed the likes of Fred and Scott McTominay to emerge with the club roping in Portuguese international Bruno Fernandes, to help fill the midfield void.
