Manchester United will welcome midfielder Scott McTominay back to the starting lineup when they play Watford on Sunday evening.
The Scotland international has been out with a ligament problem he picked on Boxing Day against Newcastle, but manager Ole Gunnar hinted that he will return this weekend.
“I think he might be in the squad,” said Solskjaer after the Reds' 1-1 draw with Club Brugge in the Europa League.
“Scott had a rest day today, so let’s see how he is tomorrow.”
McTominay has missed the club's last 13 matches in all competitions, and his returns offer a timely boost for the club as they chase a top-four finish in the Premier League.
“I’m not surprised [he’s back so soon] because that’s the type he is,” added Ole.
“He’s a physical specimen, he’s a leader. He never shirks a tackle and he brings everyone with him. He can sit with Nemanja [Matic] and Fred or he could be one of the runners in midfield,"
He is set to join new signing Bruno Fernandes, Nemanja Matic and Fred in United's midfield, offering the Norwegian a lot of options in the middle of the park.
United will welcome 19th placed Hornets on the back of a morale-boosting 2-0 win over Chelsea on Monday night.
They are expected to easily win against Watford but should be on the lookout to avoid disappointment.
